2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: Name, email address, phone number, password (hashed)
• Profile data: College, graduation year, current role, years of experience, city, job preferences, resume/CV, LinkedIn URL
• Payment data: Billing name, address, and transaction reference. We do not store card numbers — all payment processing is handled by our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway (PayU)
• Usage data: Pages visited, roles viewed, applications submitted, login timestamps, device type, browser, and IP address
• Communications: Emails or messages you send to our support team

3. How we use your data

• To create and manage your membership account
• To match your profile to relevant job openings on our platform
• To process your subscription payment and issue GST invoices
• To send you weekly job digests, alerts, and platform updates (you can opt out at any time)
• To improve platform features and personalise your experience
• To comply with applicable laws and regulatory obligations

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• With startup employers: When you apply to a role, your profile and resume are shared with that employer. Elite members who opt in may have their profile shared proactively with matched employers.
• With service providers: Payment gateways (PayU), email delivery services, cloud hosting providers. All bound by data processing agreements.
• For legal compliance: If required by law, court order, or government authority.

We never share your data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your membership is active and for up to 2 years after account closure, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Payment transaction records are retained for 7 years as required under Indian accounting regulations.

6. Your rights

Under applicable Indian data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority
